Keeping baby wipes

It's Kid Friendly Friday, I'm late and I didn't set up a post yet. Jeez....it's a wonder that the kids ever get fed or wear clean underwear! Where are my priorities?

This week's tip is simple and works great for me. So great that even though the little guys are 3 & 4 years old, we still do this all the time. We take generic baby wipes such as these:

And put them into Ziploc bags such as these:

And store them EVERYWHERE! In every car, in all my various bags that I take places, in the beach bag, anytime we are traveling, in every purse I have too. They go to doctor's appointments, airplanes, to the park, to the beach, to grandma's house, everywhere I'm telling you. They were not only necessary for little bottoms back in the day, but we use them now for wiping hands, wiping faces, wiping off grocery buggies, for napkins when we eat in the car (oops! did I say that?!), for just about any purpose, anytime. We just used them the other day when we took the dog to the vet and paws got dirty getting in and out of the car. Wiped the paws down and saved a mess in the car! What is especially handy and necessary in my opinion, is the Ziploc bag. The wipes stay moist forever---truly forever! We just found some old wipes from the beach bag from LAST SUMMER! They were still usable! And the bag folds into the smallest shape. Not like those hard plastic wipe containers. Those never worked for us because they were so inflexible and bulky, and the wipes always dried out quickly. The baggies work great and I can throw a few in, fold it up and shove it in the corner of the bag or my purse.

So that is my last minute Kid Friendly Friday suggestion. Head on over to my friend Sarah at I Blame Mom for some other great Kid Friendly tips! Have a great weekend friends!

I am going to put some baby wipes in my purse and in the van today! Thanks for the great idea. I have two leftover containers of baby wipes that I found recently. If they are still "wet", I will bag today.

I love this idea, it's frugal and very convenient! I never liked the hard baby wipe containers as they're so bulky for taking out and about. Thanks for posting this idea :)
